Walter Echols is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Master Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP). He received his graduate degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Central Florida.
He has extensive experience as a counselor with over 20 years of experience working with a variety of clients. Walter uses a cognitive behavioral (CBT) approach in treating disorders such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life management issues, and addictions. Walter is also a specialist in treating all types of trauma. He is Certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy as an additional highly effective tool in treating trauma and trauma related fears, phobias, and anxiety. Walter is also a Master’s Level Addiction Professional and is a specialist in treating most addiction problems.
During his twenty years in the field, Walter has worked for Osceola Drug Court, Park Place Behavioral Health, The Grove Counseling Center for Adult and Adolescents, The Florida Department of Corrections, and outpatient counseling services in the Orlando area. His clients include individuals and groups with issues concerning grief and loss, substance abuse, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, unresolved childhood abuse, and chronic mental health issues. He also has experience with the LGBTQ population.

Some couples come to counseling to prevent problems from occurring in the future and some come to solve current problems or heal from past relationship wounds.
Young Adult and Adolescent Counseling
“Some adolescents / teenagers have minor issues and just need a little assistance to get back on their feet and back on track. Whereas some adolescents / teenagers have very serious issues such as teenage depression, eating disorders, teenage violence, substance abuse, and many more serious issues that need more significant interventions. Some teens go to counseling to prevent problems from occurring in the future and some come to solve current problems and heal from past wounds.
