With more than 25 years of experience, George Allmaras, LMHC, brings a deep well of clinical insight, warmth, and professionalism to his work with adults and couples. He is a seasoned Licensed Mental Health Counselor and currently serves as the Director of Adult Counseling Services at The Counseling Corner’s Orlando office. Whether you are navigating personal challenges, healing from past wounds, or working to strengthen your relationship, George offers a safe, judgment-free space for meaningful growth and change.

George specializes in individual counseling for adults, marriage counseling, and couples therapy, guiding clients through the complexities of communication, emotional intimacy, conflict resolution, and relational healing. Recognizing that sexual health is often a key component of relational wellness, George also holds advanced certification in Sex Therapy. This specialized training equips him to compassionately and skillfully address sexual dysfunction, intimacy concerns, and deep-rooted sexual trauma—either individually or within the couple’s work.

George’s approach is both compassionate and evidence-based, grounded in decades of experience treating a wide range of concerns, including:

Over the years, George has held leadership roles in several major organizations, including serving as Director of the Sexual Trauma Recovery Center and Director of the Child Protection Team at Arnold Palmer Hospital. He has also contributed his expertise to Orlando Regional Health Care System, The Family Research and Guidance Center, and The Center for Counseling and Consulting—bringing a wealth of experience to every client interaction.

George holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida, an MBA from the University of Miami, and a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida. This unique blend of clinical training and business acumen supports his deeply empathetic and results-oriented approach to therapy.

Modern statistics reported and studied for years tell us that even within this room one out of every three females will have been the victim of sexual abuse and one out of every seven men will have been victims of sexual abuse.
These statistics have held strong for years, but lets assume for the sake of comfort that these are a bit over stated; lets cut the statistics in half. One in every six females and one in every seven men are victims of sexual assault. This is still completely unacceptable and if this were a medical issue, we would call it an epidemic.
